Mina Grasso, RN, MSN, FNP-C, Certified Family Nurse
Practitioner, received her Bachelor of Science degree in
Nursing from Loma Linda University School of Nursing in
1983. She received a scholarship from UCLA where she worked
on her Master's degree in Nursing in the Family Nurse
Practitioner Program. She worked as a Family Nurse
Practitioner in private practice with the late Dr. Joseph
Adatto in Upland and at Loma Linda University Medical
Center Emergency/Express and Urgent Care Services. Mina
also served as a clinical preceptor for student nurse
practitioners for various Universities and Colleges.
Exposure to burn victims with loss or distortion of facial
features early in her nursing career sparked her interest
in cosmetic procedures. Mina finally pursued this interest
in 1996. After completing training in Cosmetic
Micro-Pigmentation, Allure Image, formerly Allure Permanent
Cosmetics had its humble beginning in a 100 square foot
office. While building her cosmetic practice, Mina worked
at three jobs as a nurse practitioner simultaneously.
The practice slowly grew as Mina pursued preceptorships
with physicians in Plastic and Cosmetic Practices in
Newport Beach, Beverly Hills, Encino, San Diego, Phoenix
and Las Vegas. Although she loved being a family nurse
practitioner, she realized that she had a passion for
helping people improve their self-esteem. She feels that
lack of self-esteem contributes to many of the underlying
issues people have. She went on to form a Medical
Corporation with her husband and current medical director,
John Grasso, M.D.
As the practice grew, more spaced was required. They
expanded to 1000sq ft then to 3000 sq ft. space. The most
recent move took place in 2004. The new spacious 5000 sq.
ft. Medical SPA is located in the Alta Medical Plaza in
Upland. This new medical spa was created and designed by
Mina and her husband John with a touch of Tuscany and the
Orient. A sense of serenity and peace is experienced as one
walks through the clinic with sounds of waterfalls
flickering candle lights and various aromatic scents.
Mina offers private complementary consultations in the
clinic to educate patients. The enormous number of lasers
as well as products and treatments for cosmetic enhancement
is overwhelming to the consumer and create much confusion.
Educating patients and helping them sort out which options
are available for their concerns as well as discussing
expectations is Mina's priority in providing a successful
treatment.

laser technology and has achieved the highest level as
Diamond and Double Platinum providers of Botox Cosmetic® and
Restylane®.
Certain complimentary and discounted aesthetic procedures
continue to be offered to Breast Cancer survivors as a gift
to the community in gratitude, as Mina's mother is also a
breast cancer survivor and in honor of her
daughter-in-law's mother, Frieda Kiroyan who we lost to
breast cancer at a very young age.
