LED Phototherapy

     LED Phototherapy is a light source that emits light at a particular wavelength. This light, made up of Light Emitting Diodes, or LED's, is specifically tuned to activate the porypyrins that naturally occur in the acne causing bacteria P.acnes, destroying the bacteria while simultaneously stimulating the cells in your body that assist in the healing process. LED Phototherapy is pain free as the blue light does not produce heat, as in laser treatments, and will not damage the skin. During the treatments, you will wear protective goggles to shield your eyes from the light, during the 20 min sessions.

     Results vary with some subjects seeing a complete
clearance of the lesions; although on average patients
should expect a 73% clearance of lesions, with optimum
results in about 4-8 weeks from the completion of the
treatments.
