Electrocautery is a simple procedure that leaves the normal skin unharmed. Topical anesthetic is used to numb the treatment area and treatment time varies depending on how many skin tags there are. What happens during an Electrocautery treatment?

Electrocautery sends an electrical charge through the skin, damaging the wart, mole, skin tags, milia seeds connective tissues. This would cut them right out of the skin without bleeding. Before the procedure, we will perform localised anesthesia to the areas that are going to be treated. So, you would not feel anything throughout the procedure.

This will cause the skin to have some redness and swelling after the procedure but this is very normal.
