How does it work?

TCA breaks up a protein found in the skin called keratin. This allows the keratin to lighten in color from not functioning properly and peel away from the skin over the course of several days. Healthier, smoother skin is revealed as layers of damaged skin are removed.

How many treatments will I need?

TCA can substantially reduce sun damage and hyperpigmentation with a single treatment. However, with multiple treatments, you can expect even greater results.

What is recovery like?

After your TCA, the skin will be swollen and red for several days. Your skin will take 7-14 days to heal, but redness can persist. You will likely schedule a follow-up visit to ensure the healing process goes smoothly.

Is this safe for all skin types?

TCA Peels is recommended for all skin types except those with acneic skin or very sensitive skin.

When will I see results from my TCA peel?

As soon as you finish peeling you will see results. Your skin should continue to improve for 30-60 days as long as you are protected from the sun.
