The hyaluronic acid in Restylane® has been slightly modified to last longer than the body’s natural hyaluronic acid. It’s produced by a biotechnical process and is injected into the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the nasolabial folds.

How long do the results last?

How does Restylane® differ than BOTOX®?

BOTOX® and Restylane® are both used to correct wrinkles, but in different ways. Restylane® products are cosmetic fillers injected into the skin, adding colume to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. In contrast, BOTOX® relaxes the muscles that cause frown lines between your eyebrows.

How is Restylane® different from collagen products?

Restylane® do not contain animal proteins as some collagens do. This may limit the risk of animal-based disease transmission or allergic reaction. Restylane® contains trace amounts of gram positive bacterial proteins and are contraindicated for patients with a history of allergies to such material. Restylane® do not require and allergy test and can be administered immediately, so there is no waiting for treatment.
